ANNOUNCEMENT #1

BEFORE YOU LOG IN READ THIS!

We've had some big changes, including our name! You may have known us as the Academic Success Center, don't worry we have the same great tutors just with a new name.

Starting Fall 2020 we will also be offering services through Navigate  and no longer using WCONLINE.

Log into Navigate and click the "Make an Appointment" button to get started.

If you have made appointments with advisors you will follow the same process. Tutorials on register for tutoring in Navigate will be available shortly.

 

Welcome To The Academic Support Center

SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT:

Log into Navigate through your NEST account and select the blue "Make An Appointment" button to get started.

Please be aware all current appointments are online even after selecting the location as " Academic Support Center".

Appointments may be scheduled in 30 minute or hour long intervals. With students allowed up to 3 hours a week.

Students are Expected to:

Let tutors know what content they would like to cover in their meeting using the description box on the appointment form.

Come prepared with assignments, necessary text books, notes, course syllabus and print a copy of any work they would like to go over.

Arrive on time or cancel your appointments. If you are more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled appointment and a student walks in for tutoring, your time will be given away. If this happens, we will gladly reschedule another appointment for you contingent on the availability of tutors. Please be sure to cancel at least 2 hours in advanced or your appointment will be marked as "missed".

 

MISSED APPOINTMENT POLICY: If you miss 2 or more appointments and do not cancel in advance, your account will be disabled for a minimum of 4 weeks. If your account is disabled, you will only be able to utilize our walk-in tutoring services until your account is reactivated. Canceling an appointment is easy! You can call our ASC Customer Service at 973-655-5425 or log in to the ASC Online Scheduler to cancel your appointment.  After logging in click on your appointment and at the bottom of your appointment box and select "cancel this appointment."  If you have any questions about the ASC missed appointment policy please contact the ASC Staff at asc@mail.montclair.edu

 

EMERGENCY CLOSURES:

ASC Emergency Contingency Plan

In the event that the University closes due to inclement weather or other emergency, the ASC will also be closed and all appointments will be cancelled. See the Montclair State homepage for all weather-related and emergency closing announcements.

In the event that the ASC must close due to inclement weather that prevents staff from getting to and from campus or due to other emergency, we will do our best to notify students.
